Thanks to Daniel Pink for the heads-up on Apple Insider’s demo of the soon-to-be-launched digital edition Sports Illustrated. Time Inc, the largest magazine publisher in the US, has been plagued by declining subscription revenue and layoffs according to Tech.Blorge, so it’s taking a new tact with its magazine content by testing this tablet-friendly version of Sports Illustrated.
Apparently Wired and others are also working on their own digital editions.

Yes Tim, you’re so right. Sport and swimsuits and girls – why do they do it? Too much testosterone out there in the sports media!
I saw this too and thought, interesting method of presenting media, and also thought how they couldn’t help themselves and had to include the swimsuit info…
I thought this was fantastic and was planning on sharing it with my teacher colleagues until I got to the swimsuit segment – exciting new info delivery, same old commodification of women.
